Phil Blair

Senior Pastor

Phil has served as Senior Pastor of GPBC since 2009, bringing stable leadership and vision that has recently seen the church move forward into planting and multiplication. With a Bachelor of Ministry (BMin) and a Master of Arts in Theology (MA Theol), Phil is passionate about helping people understand the depth and beauty of God’s Word and discover the joy and purpose of living with Jesus as Lord.

Phil is a sports enthusiast with a particular love for the Geelong Cats, and thinks it is brilliant that he gets to work alongside his wife every day.

Will Tugwell

Associate Pastor -
Discipleship & Connection

Will and his wife Eliza joined Green Point in May 2025. Before becoming a pastor, Will completed a Bachelor of Business at UTS and has since completed a Bachelor of Ministry at Morling College, becoming accredited in 2024. Will loves seeing people flourish as they encounter God in community, using their gifts to love and serve others.

Will married Eliza in 2023. Together they love camping and eating tasty food! Will also loves sport, particularly cricket and football, and follows the mighty Crystal Palace! He enjoys learning how to fix things and spending time gardening.

Lou Eccleston

Coast Point Campus
Development & Formation

Louise has been part of the pastoral team at Green Point for over 10 years, mostly working with kids and families. In 2024, Louise stepped into something new, pulling together a team to plant Coast Point Church at Avoca Beach. She’s excited (and maybe just a little nervous) to see how God moves in this next chapter, trusting in His faithfulness every step of the way.

Louise is married to Matthew, who is very patient, and together they’re raising four fantastic kids aged 23, 20, 12, and 9—which means they’ve got someone in every stage of life from young adult to “I lost my shoe again.” Louise loves seeing people grow in faith, find community, and discover how much God truly loves them.

Will Richards

Associate Pastor -
Community Engagement

Will has been at Green Point Baps since 2013. He oversees GPBC's evening service and serves as the Associate Pastor for Community Engagement. Previously he completed his Bachelor of Ministry and Graduate Certificate before serving as Youth and Young Adults Pastor at GPBC for 12 years, and he's passionate about helping people find faith and their place in God's Kingdom. He's also passionate about apologetics, science and history.

In his spare time he loves sport, board games, DIY and adventuring with his wife Eva and two young kids.

Sharon Blair

Executive Ministry Manager

Sharon has been serving alongside her husband, Phil, at Green Point since 2009 and officially joined the staff team in 2022. With a varied background in advertising, administration, and interior design, she enjoys utilising her skills and experience to help manage the ministries and Sunday services at Green Point. Sharon finds great joy in helping individuals discover Jesus and their place within our community.

Sharon would like to say she enjoys curling up with a cup of tea and a good book, but she actually gets more excited about finding a bargain on Facebook Marketplace... and doesn’t even drink tea. Sharon and Phil are proud parents of two adult sons and share their home with their adorable spoodle, Maggie.
