From Baptist World Aid:
On Wednesday August 26, a glacier collapse triggered powerful flash floods across Nepal’s northern districts, impacting communities in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, and Dhading.
The floods have caused widespread devastation across towns, washing away homes, schools, roads, bridges and critical infrastructure. Current reports indicate that over 470 people have died in Nepal, though this number is expected to rise as search and rescue operations continue.
With communications and power disrupted across the impacted area, families have been left isolated and in urgent need of assistance.
We’re working with our longstanding Baptist Partner in Nepal to provide emergency aid for families impacted by the floods.
Give today to help families survive by providing:
Emergency food kits, including potatoes, lentils, onions and oil, so people have enough to eat
Emergency shelter items so families can stay safe in the aftermath of the floods
Clothes and household items (e.g. kitchen utensils) so households can take care of their needs.
